I have long admired taxidermied animals and would like to know how everyone got started. Passed down from generation to generation? Schools? I guess I could teach myself but I'd rather learn from someone else. Any ideas?

There is alot of books and videos out there but going to a competition and going to the seminors you learn the most. You dont have to compete but just being at the show and talking to different people you learn so much. You will be surprize but Ohio has some of the best taxidermist around.

Come to the Ohio Taxidermy Championships. You will knock ten years off your learning curve. It is easily the best $$$ investment you can make for learning taxidermy skills. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a master. They are March 30, 31, April 1st. Check out the section on this site.
