Sorry no pics yet. I have a guy that has a pair of bucks that are locked together. He is suppose to bring them over when he is in town for Christmas. This is a new one for me but I can't wait to get started on it. My question is does anybody that has done one of these have any pointers or any reference pics they would like to share? Heck if you have done some like this post a few pics of your mount. I'm not sure if its going to be a pedestal or a wall mount yet. That's some of what we are going to talk about when he drops them off. Thanks for any info guys.

Carol did these last year, actually finished them this fall. They would have been better open mouthed, but the guy as having a fit about price even with closed mouth. Attachments:

Luckily, they didn't need to be removable. She set the antlers on one, then put it one on the stand and kind of held the other one up and just eyed how much turn to put in it. Then set the other antlers, put it on another stand and started cutting and turning until they matched up with square backs. What you see them on is an old cedar post, I just cut flats on the band saw to lay up the backs, then made a frame with 2x4 on edge the right size so I could cut flats on the bottoms to lap over the 2x4. She mounted the first one, with the other rack hanging in it, then we moved it to the cedar post. She mounted the second one on the stand and left the top of the head open, then we moved it to the other cedar post, screwed the rack onto it and she finished it on the post. Check with Brians boy at Ohio Taxidermy Supply he had some pictures on the computer he was showing Carol of locked bucks. Attachments:

Thanks for the pics and the info Keith. The mount looks great. Unfortuntely I heard from him today and he backed out. He was from out of state and needed the space so he took it somewhere closer to where he lives. It would have been fun but I guess thats the way it goes. Thanks again Tony
