I am going to be fleshing out my first elk mount this week. I was wondering if there is anything different ti expect from whitetails - besides being 2 times bigger. Also this guy I am doing it for did not take measurements so I have to take them when I flesh.

Big whitetail, there is a lot more tissue around the gland in front of the eye. If you happen to be doing the back skin to get tanned, there is gland all around the tail bone that you need to get fleshed out, that's the biggest difference.
