I got my first bear to lifesize mount. What tan should I use. I use Krowtan for my deer capes. I didn't know if I can do bear with it or not since the bear skin has a lot of grease.

You can use anything you're comfortable with. If you have confidence in the krowtan lasting on your deer, you should feel good about it on everything.
You're right about the grease though, you really need to get a bear clean, it doesn't matter what tan you use, if a skin is still greasy the integrity of the tan will be compromised and you can expect prblems down the road.

Krowtan will work just fine on the bear BUT like Keith says it will need degreasing. There are many things to use for that but the easiest and safest thing I have found is a product called Tannery Degreaser sold by McKenzie.
